After graduating at The Design Academy in Eindhoven I started working with my former teacher, where i also did my internship ; Proforma Industrieel / Huibert Groenendijk. Coming from a academy with a more art and trend casting orientation i found it refreshing and very meaning full to experience the production industry. Creating the ideas, realizing visions by not only coming up with these ideas but also contribute to solutions of the daily actual production issues.
I worked on designs for boats, wind mills and baby strollers.
From here I jumped in to the consumer electronics at GRO Design. Designing mobile phones I encountered the shift from hardware/device to sofware/UI driven design. Buttons became touch screens and ultimate battery life time became software options and apps. Consumer electronics became more and more a fashion statement with endless possibilities and connections.
Trying to create an greater design environment I started working with Marcel Wanders. Here all aspects of design are combined, being able to touch every corner of the design world. Calloborating with the most impressive names and companies.
Trying to focus more on one product group I entered BrandvanEgmond.Creating the ‘cherry on the cake’ of that very special client’s living room.With the production in our own hands we can produce what we think of. Making designs virtual impossible to create. Working also with a sales team . touching all aspects of a product in the sales trajctory. From design proposals, developing, sourcing, manufacturing, logisitcs and the press documentions and fairs like Euroluce, Milan and Light and Building, Frankfurt.
